Affiliate and advertising disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you sign up for or buy a product through one of them, I may receive a commission from that company. It costs you nothing extra, and the price you pay is the same as it would be through any other route.

What this does not change

• Coverage. Partner status is never a condition for being written about, and never a reason to be recommended.
• Conclusions. No company reviews a piece before publication or has any approval over what it says.
• Criticism. Products from partner companies get the same treatment as any other, including when the honest answer is that something is not worth it.

How links are marked

Where a link is an affiliate link and the context does not already make that obvious, it is marked. If you would rather not use one, every product mentioned on this site can be reached by searching its name directly — the guides work exactly the same either way.

Advertising

This site does not run display advertising, and does not accept payment for articles, mentions, placements or links in existing pieces. If that ever changes, this page changes with it, before anything is published.
